Isn’t it good enough to just have a good heart? Why should one seek for the Way?
Nowadays, ethics is on a downward spiral. People’s morals are deteriorating in today’s material world. It is indeed rare and precious to find one who is a good person with a good heart doing good things. In the next life, one may become a human being again, or one may become an immortal or deity. However, one is still in the cycle of birth and death. She/he cannot be comparable to those who have come to see their Original Nature through meeting the Enlightening Teacher and Seeking for the Way/Tao. For them, the bitter pain of birth and death is forever gone, and joy is unlimited.
Has the Tao only appeared recently?
The Great Tao is sometimes hidden and sometimes revealed. In the ancient history, it was not yet time to propagate the Tao to the masses. Only a selected few were able to receive this transmission. Hence, the number of those who knew the Tao was few. Now, we are living in the Final Era, and the Tao is transmitted to all those who seek for It. The reason for this mass transmission comes from the decline of low sense of morals these days, and great calamities are on the rise. Since not all people are evil and those with good roots must not be blamed with the evil ones, the Tao has been descended and massive transmission has thus begun to awaken the human heart, purify the human mind, and harmonize the world. This is the reason for the descent of the Tao.
Why can’t the heavenly secret be told without the proper procedure?
The Tao only descends at a certain time to a selected people. Even the ancient sages do not dare to reveal lightly to others. Even though now is the time for mass propagation of the Tao, one still needs to show sincerity to seeking the Tao or Truth and be tested of his/her faith. Otherwise, who dares to just reveal the heavenly secrets without caution? If the heavenly secrets were revealed in an improper fashion, the seeker’s affinity toward enlightenment will be thus destroyed. Furthermore, this wrongful act violates the laws of enlightenment and asks nothing but trouble.
Can the practitioners of the Tao continue the other previous religious practice?
Heavenly Tao includes in its daily ritual the acknowledgement of the various heavenly beings. However, those who have sought for the Tao have been shown the True Teaching of the White Sun Era/Final Era; it is only proper to observe the True Teaching. The True Teaching is the door to path of enlightenment, whereas other teachings may also lead to enlightenment. After one receives the Tao, he/she may still continue on the previous religion believe. It will help one to have a better comprehensive understanding of the other religion.
