Family Matters
The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home

"To put the world in right order, we must first put the NATION in order;
to put the nation in order; we must first put the FAMILY in order;
to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our PERSONAL LIFE
set our heart straight." ~ Confucius
Few things in life can bring us as much pleasure or pain as our families. When things are working well in the family, it's great. When things are not going so well, it's tough. Parents have tension with children. Children have tension with parents. Husbands have tension with wives. Wives have tension with husbands. Then there are the in-laws. Families are complex.
When we are married, we make a commitment that is to be taken seriously. We are told in 1 Corinthians 7:32–33, "An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord's work and thinking how to please him. But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife."
When you are married you have to think of someone besides yourself. Husband and wife both have responsibilities to take care of each other, while providing care for their children.
Here is the great news! Responsibility also comes with sweetness. It is actually wonderful thing to be married because you have a companion to laugh together, a friend to share BOGO deal (Buy one get one free), a volunteer-nurse to care for you, and a cheerleader when you are sorrowed.
It has been said that a family can survive without a nation, but a nation cannot survive without the family.
Take care of your families.
