When we are calm or feeling peaceful, we are more likely to connect our mind with our soul. Our soul is also called inner being, true nature, or true self, etc. Our soul is given by the Lord which is pure, bright, and perfect without any flaw. Our soul has no desire, no preference, no judgement, no prejudice, and without comparison. Our soul can radiate other people as well as enlighten ourselves. The Lord created men based on his image; this bible verses is specifically referring to the purity of soul. Our soul or true nature is what the Lord bestow upon us, and the Lord hope that we can keep our nature throughout our lifetime regardless our age. Thus, during our peaceful state mind, when there is no desire, one can spiritually communicate with the divine being or perceiving the wonderful truth.
However, it is impossible to have our soul in tranquil state all the time because human anatomy comes with soul, our physical heart, and our five senses. Our physical body and five senses, are the tools for our soul, have desires on food, living shelter, money, and entertainment. There is nothing wrong in having desires on the all material thing or the basic living items. One must understand all the items and material things provided and generated from the source of the oneness.
Thus, Lao Tzi stated: “with no desire, one can perceive the wonderful Truth, and even when conscious desires generated, one can still understand the principle of all being.”
