The Objectives of Tao
|
Simply, the objectives of Tao is to remind everyone to cultivate his/her outward behavior and inner nature and become a righteous person. Therefore, when one leaves the world, one is able to attain the realization of truth and become enlightened being.
Tao gives everyone not only awareness of oneself but of others. Furthermore, Tao enables each person to go beyond life and death; it enables one to go back to the root and revives one’s true nature. Zang Zai, one philosopher during the China Sung Dynasty, stated: “Establish one’s heart for heaven and earth; transform one’s life for the life of others; continue the path of the past saints; and make great peace for all generations to come.” |
