Run to Finish

When you are in a race, you run to win. You run to finish the race. In the same way, to live our life, it is not enough to just run during the course. We have to finish the race too. But we stumble at times.
"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." ~ Confucius
Some of us may have stumbled. We may have even fallen. Or maybe we have been discouraged or something has occured to set us backward. It is not too late to catch up and start running again. Even when you stumble, or fall, you can still get up and run. Your life is not over, and you can still win. It's not finished until it's over.
For instance, if ever there was a time in your life when it seemed as though God did not come through for you, if ever you have been tempted as a believer to just give up, or if ever you have read a passage of scripture or sutra that didn't seem to make any sense to you, then know this: you are in good company. You are not alone. But instead of giving up on your believe, allow the trial to build your strength and character. It is OK to take a rest. Grab a true friend to run with you so that you can support each other.
Continue to run on the path of Tao. Occasionally, you might want to take a break. Once the break is over, get up and run. In the same way, will we decide to stop—or to keep running for our life.
