If you wish to attain Full Enlightenment (perfect universal awareness), you must rely on yourself. If you wish to obtain a “carefree spiritual body”, you must correct and refine yourself. It is only by giving, and only by having a virtuous heart can you be free from worries. If everything is done only for the selfishness of oneself, you would just invite a whole body of displeasures.
With dedicated diligence, there is no hard affair in the world.
With hundred-folded endurance, there is grand harmony in the house.
Hopefully, you can truly apply this saying into your social behavior and family relations. Also let his society be nurtured with your wholesome energies, and let it be transformed into a more auspicious, more promising, more harmonious and a more united society. Time comes and goes. Why not let the worries and irritations come and go, too?
To generate and develop faith, it must rely on oneself. To recognize Truth clearly, one must practice Tao/Truth honestly. If you have contributed, naturally, Heaven would not treat you unfairly and would not let you down. Do it attentively and naturally, and Heaven would “twist your fate” (bless your). Hardships and frustrations of the world would pass away sooner or later. Don’t let them disturb you. From the start, life has nothing that really matters. “Nothing exist originally, why should we invite the dust?” The more desires you have, the less you will seeks the things concerning the mind and spirit. Besides, desires themselves are never-ceasing and never-ending. Why would you let your spirit be over active? Why would you let your spirit be more occupied?
Most modern people think only about themselves. All living beings are like that. Must you like others, too? Do what others cannot do. Then only you are worth to be called a holy man (saint).
Calm down and look around how this world is busy for living. In a glance, life vanished. How sad! We must grasp this life. Don’t hinder oneself, but do cultivate. You are relying on yourself.
